Step Pyramid of Djoser

Saqqara is an ancient burial ground home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest large-scale stone structure in Egypt. Designed by architect Imhotep, it is surrounded by several tombs and ancient structures that highlight early Egyptian history.
